Interested in Joining
or Starting a team?

Robotics North Society does not run teams ourselves. Our role is to support teams, mentors and clubs as well as organize official FIRST events in the Yukon.

SCHOOL TEAMS

Please reach out to us, and we can let you know if your school is involved with FIRST robotics. If they are not, then we encourage parents to reach out to the school administration, or school council to see about starting a team - if the school is interested, we can support them!

Having the support of parents makes a school team MUCH more successful, and relieves some of the administrative burden from the school volunteers (teachers) who would lead the team.

(Registered) school teams can compete at the end of season competition (in the FLL-C or FTC levels) for a chance to move on to BC provincials. This is typically an OUT OF SCHOOL event and fundraising is the responsibility of the youth and families - not the school.

HOME & COMMUNITY TEAMS

With the right amount of available space to work with, a little bit of funds and a few adults to help - a home or community team is a great way to get started (and how most of us got started in the Yukon!)

Reach out to us, and we can help you learn what is needed to get started as a home or community team!
